WiseTech Global is deeply passionate about enabling young people to learn valuable IT skills at the earliest age possible. The earlier someone learns a skill, the better they will become—it’s that simple.
National Computer Science School (NCSS)
To foster the next generation of talented IT professionals, WiseTech Global is proud to be a platinum sponsor of The National Computer Science School (NCSS). Run by the University of Sydney, the NCSS program provides Australian high-school students with quality educational opportunities to give them the valuable computer-programming skills that will help shape the future of IT.
NCSS offers two programs to help young developers succeed in their chosen career path:
The NCSS Summer School: This is a ten-day summer school for students going into years 11 and 12. Each year 160 talented students from all across Australia participate in an intensive course that helps nurture and develop their computer programming and website development skills.
The NCSS Challenge: An annual programming competition for secondary school students, the NCSS Challenge lets the next generation of developers put their skills to the test. The friendly competition uses real-life problems to challenge and inspire programmers of all levels of experience, ensuring young programmers everywhere have a chance to learn about software from the inside out.

Scholarships Through The University of Technology, Sydney
WiseTech Global is a proud sponsor of the Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) cooperative education scholarship program in partnership with the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS).
The scholarship differs from other cooperative education courses in that, during industry-based semesters, students follow a structured program designed jointly by WiseTech Global and UTS, including formal industry-related coursework.
Each year, six first-year students and six-third year students are given the opportunity to join us for a six-month placement where they can learn real industry skills to complement their growing academic knowledge. Some of these students are offered permanent positions with us after completing their placements.
To find out more information on the BIT scholarship, head to www.uts.edu.au/bit-co-op-benefits.
"The time I spent at WiseTech helped me put into practice what I was learning on my course and really accelerated my software development skills. And of course, living in Chicago for six months was pretty cool!
Since graduating in 2012 I’ve used the knowledge I gained from my time with WiseTech to launch my own start-up called Bitbound. It’s a development company that makes mobile phone apps including WhatTime, which allows students share their timetable with friends so they can find free time to study, eat or socialize together."
