In this session Dr. Neil Roodyn (http://www.roodyn.com) will discuss how scenarios, that a few years ago would have been science fiction, are now becoming achievable with the technology we use every day. Taking some small leaps and pulling together technology from different platforms, enables us and our clients to now achieve tasks that would have seemed to be magical a mere 5 years ago.

In this session you will learn how some key technologies are likely to become the core components of experiences that seamlessly connect devices, people and software together.

Previously on WTF #2 event:

• Focus on SOA Technology and its application using Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) Data Services
• Discussion and demonstration of RESTful web services
• Object Relational Mapping (ORM) framework – focussed on Microsoft Entity Framework
• Design and development of a flexible, scalable and maintainable platform framework
• Focus on code rather than theory – dive into tips, tricks and traps that we have experienced

Previously on WTF #1 event:

Our previous session run by Sebastian Kade, Ted Burhan and Zubin Appoo, had over 50 attendees watching and learning about UI technologies – with a focus on Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF). In-depth discussions were had on the future of UI technologies including HTML5, Windows 8 and Jupiter, as well as building a WPF application from scratch in front of the audience. The combination of cool technologies, involved demonstrations, tasty pizza and passionate minds made the night a hit! Attendees left the session with an understanding of how UI technology is evolving and changing the way that business applications are built.
