From the smallest warehouse to the largest multi-site distribution center, Microlistics has a tailored solution to meet our customer’s needs. And this key role places you on the front line when it comes to supporting our global customers in the navigation of our tools in automation.

First and foremost, this is a highly technical role. We’re looking for someone with proven experience delivering a high degree of customer service, effectively solving problems whilst thinking ‘outside the box’ and leveraging their interpersonal skills to engage with any difficult customers. Intermediate knowledge and experience with Oracle and SQL will be invaluable, and candidates with a solid understanding of Linux (Red Hat) operating systems will undoubtedly excel here.

But we’re not just looking for someone technically talented. We realise that an individual is more than their tech stack, and that’s why we put an emphasis on teamwork and self-motivation. If you possess high levels of organisation skills, thrive under minimal supervision and have an eye for detail and accuracy then we think you’d be a great fit for our team. As this is a customer facing role, the ideal candidate will naturally maintain strong verbal and written communication and be able to liaise effectively with not only clients, but the wider Melbourne team and WiseTech Group.

Essential Skills:

  • 2-4 years’ strong customer service experience in a software or technical environment
  • Ability to write SQL queries and generate reports (Crystal Reports/SQL Report Writer)
  • Demonstrated experience working with Oracle
  • Intermediate Linux (preferably Red Hat) experience or understanding

Highly Regarded:

  • Zendesk and/or Jira experience
  • Experience with manufacturing and logistics organisation as customers
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Oracle
  • Ability to build a complete Red Hat server from scratch
  • Software development experience

Why you’ll love this role

Working for a global business has its benefits. Not only will this opportunity introduce you to our global customers and their unique needs but you’ll also benefit from working rotating shift/work patterns (Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends on-call), unshackling you from the 9-5 norm. Additionally, shift allowances and on-call subsidized payments will increase your base line pay so you can afford to enjoy the perks of working rostered hours.

Working with an industry leading technology company, you would also be exposed to a variety of future challenges and opportunities for learning and growth, including the ability to move to deeper system-oriented roles or higher levels of support.
