About the job
At WiseTech, we build the software that powers global logistics. From emerging freight forwarders to established leaders like DHL and FedEx, our software solutions allow users to maintain truly resilient supply chains.
As a Delivery Specialist, you support our product development teams in developing market-leading products by facilitating the effective and efficient application of systems, processes and tools in accordance with the WiseTech Way. You will benefit from the mentorship of Delivery Managers as together you help product development teams to organise their workload, clear roadblocks, and perform at their best. This might mean:
- Guiding team members on effective use of our internal work management and productivity tools.
- Data-driven investigations to identify impediments to productivity and make recommendations to resolve them.
- Assisting product development teams in the establishment and configuration of their jobs to support good governance and smooth flow of work.
- Responding to current or future obstacles impeding the development of new product and working with internal stakeholders to resolve them quickly and effectively.
This is a growth role, meaning you will be encouraged to push your boundaries and try new things, initially under the guidance and supervision of an experienced Delivery Manager, however as your experience and confidence grows, so too will your responsibility.
The only real thing stopping you from being given more responsibility and bigger challenges is your own willingness and capacity to learn and grow. Furthermore, in order to be promoted to Delivery Manager, you do not need to compete for one of a limited number of positions. Instead, all you need to do is demonstrate consistency in performing at the level expected of a Delivery Specialists and give us confidence that you have the skills you would require to perform at the next level.
About You
You are pragmatic and intelligent, able to quickly learn new tools and systems. You are curious; you want to know how things work, and enjoy thinking of ways to improve them. You see setbacks as an opportunity to learn and grow.
You’re a competent communicator who can understand others and be understood, even when discussing technically complex matters. You work well in teams.
You take pride in your work. You aren’t afraid to ask questions until you understand not only the work itself, but also the need it is fulfilling and the value it adds for the business. This allows you to apply your sound judgment to make logical assumptions during times of uncertainty.
Although not essential, you may have some developing understanding of either process improvement, software development, product or project management
Before your first interview, we highly recommend you research our company and do some reading on WiseTech’s business, vision, culture and mantras. Consider whether these appeal to you and if it sounds like a place you’d like to work. One of our mantras is that “culture eats strategy for breakfast”, so while we want people of broad and diverse skillsets and backgrounds, we also want people who are going to enjoy being a part of our team and want to stick around for a while.
Benefits
Our people are the foundations of our business and we value the contribution and commitment they make. We have a range of benefits including flexible working, development opportunities, employee assistance programs, remote working allowance, and more.
