Billing Specialist

We're looking for a Billing Specialist to join our Blume team based in Canton, Massachusetts. You will work alongside another Billing Specialist in the finance team on day-to-day activities which will include billing, rate maintenance, audits, support and customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage bi-monthly billing.
• Maintain and update rates.
• Conduct rate audit and rate analysis to ensure billing accuracy.
• Research and resolve rate application issues and client questions.
• Manage bi-monthly draft/collection process.
• Conduct payment recognition and correct cash application, bulk credits when necessary.
• Billing and collections support for both clients and application users.
• Produce weekly and monthly AR aging.
• Monitor and address overdue collections as necessary.
• Monthly settlement process, calculation of Blume management fees and revenue/expense data for Asset Owners.
• Develop variance analysis of monthly billing and other metrics.
• Answer general client and customer questions.
• Analyze and process changes in information systems to support accurate and efficient billing process and monthly close.
• Analyze financial data to determine meaningful trends.
• Participate in team project, as necessary.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports as necessary.

What we're looking for

• Bachelors Degree
• 2+ years of experience in billing/collections or account management or entry level accounting and finance
• The ability to have attention to the numbers while also possessing the personal skills to communicate and assist client’s evolving needs

This is a Hybrid role based in our Canton office, coming into the office 2-3 days a week. The office park has ample parking, a free gym and a nature reserve close by!
