The Role and You

Reporting to the Regional Accounting Manager, the role will expose you to the inner workings of the wider finance team both locally and internationally and will be your opportunity to make real change. You won’t just be writing reports that will be half implemented – you will be empowered to drive these changes home.

The finance team at WiseTech aims to strike the appropriate balance to deliver effective financial control whilst allowing the business to be agile and grow. We see this role as a key step in that journey.

You are a highly organized and methodical thinker, comfortable prioritizing and managing multiple deliverables. You are also proficient in identifying, establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for month-end close activities for relevant controlled ledgers in the EMEA region, including accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue, IFRS 16 lease journals, depreciation and intercompany entries
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and P&L movement commentaries
  • Quarterly forecasting across multiple entities
  • Managing the relationship and communication with different stakeholders within the business and providing support as the key contact for the ledgers in charge
  • Managing intercompany reconciliations and recharges across domestic and international entities
  • Supporting group and local audit requirements
  • Supporting ESG reporting initiatives and statutory compliance
  • Mentoring junior team members (Graduate Accountant)
  • Supporting the implementation of the new ERP system for assigned ledgers, including user system testing, data validation, and process alignment as required

Key Skills and Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and technical accounting skills
  • Highly organized and methodical thinker, comfortable prioritizing and managing multiple deliverables
  • Professional Accountant with appropriate qualification (Chartered Accountant, CPA or similar) would be highly desirable
  • Previous experience in an IT or Software Company or within a multi-entity/global environment would be highly desirable
